A One King West Wedding | Sarah & Kale

Weddings

In early September, Sarah and Kale came together to celebrate their love story in an elegant and fun wedding!

After initially investing in Classy Affairs for month-of coordination, Sarah and Kale decided they needed more guidance and expertise to prepare for the wedding of their dreams.

They upgraded to our partial planning service, which allowed me to give them even more ideas on how to make their wedding day match the vision in their heads!

Creating the Late Summer Wedding Vision

When they first came to me, Sarah and Kale knew they wanted a wedding that was modern, elegant, and still fun. They wanted to embrace that vision throughout all aspects of their special day!

We used those three adjectives to make every single decision about their wedding. In everything we looked at, we went back to the question: is it modern, elegant, and fun? That was the biggest ticket to make sure everything looked and felt the way they imagined!

Selecting the Venue for the One King West Hotel Wedding

From the beginning, One King West hotel was their dream venue. They fell in love with every single space in the venue because of its unique history and charm. One King West is truly one of the most unique wedding venues in Toronto!

Sitting in the heart of Toronto, One King West hotel boasts such an incredible history. And every room is gorgeous. All three of us couldn’t help but fall in love with it!

Everything at this venue was delivered on their day – from the getting ready rooms, to the ceremony location, to the food and overall service. What’s not to love about it!?

Choosing a Gold and Black Wedding Colour Palette

When it came to choosing their wedding colour palette, my team and I used One King West hotel as the inspiration.

Since it was their dream venue, we wanted to keep it at the center of all our planning decisions.

Sarah and Kale were thrilled when we came to them with a gold and black wedding colour palette. It fit so perfectly with the modern, elegant aesthetic of the One King West hotel.

The Best Parts of the One King West Wedding

One of the best parts of any wedding is watching the couple see each other for the first time. It’s such a special moment for them, and after working with them for over a year, it’s always incredible to see such an intimate moment on their wedding day.

Sarah and Kale were no exception! Seeing how much love they had for one another was so incredible.

But another fantastic part of the wedding day is watching the couple’s reaction once they see their venue space transformed for the first time.

For months, Sarah and Kale envisioned how their One King West wedding would look. And on the day of, my team and I stepped in and brought it to reality. They saw months of hard work and planning in real life. And that was such a magical moment! I could see how much they appreciated all of the work and effort we put into their day. And it reminded me once again of how much I love my job!

Sarah and Kale’s One King West wedding was a gorgeous, modern event. With months of planning logged, they had an incredibly elegant gold and black wedding inspired by their dream venue.

Ultimately, I’m so grateful we had the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful day for them!
