Whimsical Garden Inspired Eaton Hall Wedding | Olivia and Silvio

Olivia and Silvio met me through Olivia’s sister Alexandra who had booked me for her wedding planning in the same year. Olivia knew what she liked and wanted to handle the details of their wedding day. She created the invitations and came up with the colours and design but she needed someone to execute it for her on the day of. That is where I came in with the Month of Coordination package to help bring her beautiful whimsical organic vision come to life with some amazing vendors. It allowed her to be calm and present through hair and makeup to the first look, photos and then their ceremony and reception. Despite the weather not cooperating, every detail was so beautiful and guests had such an amazing time and they got to have so much fun dancing the night away under the stars!

Planning for the Best and the Worst Case

Let’s talk about something no couple really wants to think about when they’re planning their wedding: rain. Not a cute little passing shower. I’m talking about the absolute worst storm of the year to that point.

That was exactly what happened at this Eaton Hall wedding. The original plan was an outdoor first look and ceremony. However when the weather decided it had other plans, we didn’t panic. We pivoted. The first look and ceremony were moved indoors, the spaces were adjusted, and the day continued without the couple having to become the emergency operations team for their own wedding. This is exactly why having a Plan B is only half the equation. You also need someone who knows how to actually execute it.

Once the ceremony was moved, our job didn’t stop there. We were coordinating the transition into the reception space, making sure the room came to life as intended, vendors knew where they needed to be, and the timeline continued moving forward. The couple could focus on getting married while we focused on everything happening around them.

A great wedding plan should account for the beautiful things you’re hoping for, yes. But a great planner also knows what to do when the unexpected happens!

Because you can’t control the weather. You can control how prepared you are for it and how prepared you were to have someone to execute it!
