Over the years we have been to many different venues across Toronto and the GTA. We have decided to
highlight our top five favourite venues that will help you with your search – you may even fall in love
with one of them!
Number 1: Distillery District
Have you ever thought about a wedding in a venue that provides a lot of history? The Distillery District is PERFECT as all of their venues are located in beautiful historic buildings. Balzacs Café turns into a venue for 50 guests. Thompson Gallery is the perfect mix of art and history accommodating up to 100 guests. Archeo has a stunning outdoor garden area with a rustic indoor reception area for up to 120 guests. Then there is the Fermenting Cellar that can fit up to 300 guests with their industrial interior. The options are endless in the Distillery District – perfect for engagement parties, bridal showers, social events or weddings. Your guests can enjoy all the local shops and photo opportunities before your wedding or during cocktail hour.
Number 2: The Grand Luxe
Located in north Toronto, The Grand Luxe is a modern and beautiful venue. The black and white interior allows for so many design options. Wedding ceremonies are accommodated inside their parlour or in their main room which is then transformed into your elegant reception. This venue can accommodate up to 400 guests. It has a beautiful large bar centered in the middle of the dancefloor. Whether you have a band or a DJ, there is so much space for your guests to dance the night away. The food is spectacular, they are able to accommodate to anyone’s dietary needs! Pegasus Hospitality Group owns this venue as well as Palais Royale and Harding Waterfront Estate – two other absolutely beautiful venues in Toronto and Mississauga. By the way, this is the venue that I got married in so I may be a little bias, but love that it is a single hall venue so you get the night all to yourself.
Number 3: The Arlington Estate
Just 30 minutes outside of Toronto, located in Kleinberg, one of the newest venues, The Arlington Estate is a stunning modern masterpiece. The property has a gorgeous outdoor ceremony area that faces a beautiful fountain and pond. Endless ideas can be done to decorate their pergola. Is it a rainy day? They have an indoor chapel that can accommodate up to 150 guests so not to worry. The East Wing can hold up to 180 guests while the West Wing’s capacity is 350 guests. The lobby entrances to their gorgeous washrooms will make your jaw drop. They have a fantastic build in AV/Lighting system from BB Blanc that will surely make your event special. The delicious 5 star food to the ambiance makes this venue a dream. You can arrive in style on a helicopter or entertain your guests with a fireworks show – the way to amaze your guests is plentiful. A must see venue for anyone getting married!
Number 4: Paradise Banquet Hall
In the heart of Vaughan, resides Paradise Banquet Hall, a five room venue with so many options. This venue is the definition of classic elegance. The outdoor ceremony area has picture perfect Roman columns – a beautiful backdrop for your vows. The venue can accommodate anywhere from 100-400 guests. The service at the venue is top notch as they take care of all your needs. Their rooms have spectacular chandeliers that make for stunning pictures.
Number 5: Madsen’s Greenhouse
A short 40 minute drive north of Toronto in Newmarket you will find a hidden gem, Madsen’s Greenhouse. Have you ever wanted to get married surrounded by nature? This is the venue for you! Whether it is the ceremony or reception area, you will find yourself inside a greenhouse. This venue is perfect for those who love nature seating up to 350 guests. A family owned property that boasts an interior that needs very little décor if you desire a rustic nature backdrop. You can use their preferred caterer or bring your own caterer. Make sure to put this venue on your visit list, you won’t regret it.
