Pamela and Lucas’ Outdoor Tented Wedding | Hartman Gallery, Toronto
A wedding from 2019 that leaves such a large place in our memories is Pamela and Lucas’ outdoor tented wedding at The Hartman Gallery in Stouffville. I met Pamela and Lucas through Nicolette and Joe (a 2018 client). They were just as sweet and lovely as Nicolette and Joe so it was no surprise that immediately we connected. They had pretty much everything planned but they wanted all the little details to come together seamlessly. After almost a year of planning, the details were beginning to look the same so they hired us for Month of Coordination so we could take over and ensure the day went smoothly.
As we were confirming all the aspects, with only about two months before the wedding, there was a sudden death in Pamela’s family; unfortunately, her father had passed. Receiving that information from Lucas was shocking and upsetting. I would never know the pain Pamela would be going through but our hearts broke for her. All of the vendors really pulled together to ensure she would not have to worry about the day.

Driving to the Hartman Gallery, it was such a beautifully bright and sunny day. As we entered the venue you could really feel a sense of calm and relaxation among Pamela and her bridesmaids who were getting ready on-site and beautified by Ford Beauty. Kira and I began setting up the ceremony and reception areas with the venue staff and working together to make sure it all came together. We were wowed by the gorgeous flowers of Mothers Gardens Floral Design. We also worked closely with their photographers, Daniel Clements Photography who was so relaxed and so much fun! Lucas and his groomsmen arrived in the afternoon and you could start to feel the nerves and anticipation in the air. Their vows were some of the most touching I have ever witnessed. They were finally married!
The Reception
The reception was by far the most memorable part of the evening. Their entrance into the tent was awesome, followed by very heartfelt and deeply emotional speeches by their loved ones. Since Pamela’s father couldn’t have the first dance, her mother danced with her and the entire tent was in tears. I was overwhelmed with emotion at the time being nine months pregnant, but it was truly beautiful to see both families come together for Pamela and Lucas. I felt all their guests were truly present and with them to celebrate such a beautiful love for one another. You really could feel her dad’s presence throughout the entire day. He made sure it was the perfect summer day in June and that nothing could go wrong.
Everyone celebrated with amazing food from Hawley Crescent (including an awesome donut bar by Glory Hole Doughnuts) and danced into the evening by the wonderful band Switchbeat. Such a perfect day for an absolutely wonderfully deserving couple. It truly was an honour to be a part of their love story. It was such a beautiful outdoor tented wedding at the Hartman Gallery!
