An Earth Element Wedding | Toronto, Canada
Today we are looking back on a very unique earth element themed wedding in Toronto for Skye and Alec! I originally met Skye & Alec in December of 2018. We clicked right away and I was added to their team of wedding vendors. Being chosen to help a couple with the most important day of their life is just as humbling and exciting today as it was when I first started this business!
They were so warm and kind in every form of contact I had with them. When living in NYC, planning a wedding in Toronto can come with its challenges. It made is easier that they were fully committed to their vision and had Skye’s rockstar mom to help make a lot of their items (yes even her wedding dress!!!).
The Earth Element Wedding
Their wedding was based around the four elements; fire, water, wind and air. They asked each guest to bring one of the elements that represented them up to the altar – it resembled their contribution to the ceremony. The most unique aspect about their ceremony was that before the vows they had a meditation with all of their guests. They both found joy in meditating and this allowed everyone to focus on the purpose of being there (something I had never seen)! The day was filled with so much love and happiness, they were extremely present and grateful for the entire day. They kicked off the dancing with a bridal party choreographed routine and a variety of yummy pies (not your traditional wedding cake)!
